We all like shorter pledge drives.
This morning at 10:00 a.m., KUSP ended it’s short, end of the budget year campaign.
This year the station is experimenting with shorter pledge drives. In the spring, plans were made to raise funds needed in just 1/2 the time. While it was very successful (raising more money in the shortest period of time than any other KUSP drive), it did not completely realize the financial goal. Hence, this ’4 ½ day, end of the budget year campaign’ was born, as a way to make up the difference.
Hopes are high that listeners can appreciate this strategy – respond more quickly, and allow KUSP to provide more un-interrupted programming.
