On the show this week recordings by Sonny Criss (pictured), Jimmie Lunceford and his Orchestra, the Nat King Cole Trio, Coleman Hawkins, Michel Petrucciani and Eddy Louiss, and by the Sonny Clark Trio.
There will also be some selections by trumpeter Etienne Charles, whose quintet will perform on Monday at Kuumbwa Jazz in downtown Santa Cruz.
