Fatha Knows Best
On the show this week recordings by Earl ‘Fatha’ Hines, Oscar Peterson, Curtis Fuller, Mal Waldron, King Oliver, Lionel Hampton, Carol Sloane, and a piece from a recent issue of a live trio concert by Bill Evans in 1968.
Some good Earl Hines video clips (and a documentary) are below as well as video introducing that new Bill Evans Trio two CD set.
We also hear a couple selections by guitarist Terrence Brewer whose “Citizen Rhythm” CD release party is next Thursday, July 5th, at Kuumbwa Jazz.
