Guest host presents a full broadcast of Giuseppe’s masterpiece Otello. The Italian master takes Shakespeare’s tragedy and provides music that takes the drama to supreme heights. The excellent all Italian cast rises to the occasion for this recording produced in 1954 when their voices were at their peaks. The conductor is Alberto Erede with the Chorus and Orchestra of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Rome.
