The distinctive talent of the Del Sol String Quartet arrives at the Cabrillo Festival during its 50th Anniversary Season. Exciting performances of music by long-time Festival associate Lou Harrison. You’ll hear his five-movement string quartet. Plus, dynamic offerings for this ensemble from José Evangelista, Chinary Ung, Elena Kats-Chernin, and the wildly rhythmic Mason Bates. There’s also a surprise encore of Huapanga by Paquito D’Rivera.
