Here’s the playlist for this week’s show. As you may have heard me mention, I picked up a bunch of Clean Feed dates, which explains the play weighted in their favor. You’ve probably also heard me extol Clean Feed’s virtues as a happening label… check it out yourself + note there are more that we’ll be playing in week’s to come. Though the hits just keep coming on OFOB, a date which really knocked me out while I was prepping the show is the one by Ken Filiano & Quantum Entanglements. I also thought the segue from the Mal Waldron piece to Mike Reed’s date was particularly sweet…. and check out the Joe McPhee/Jeb Biship (etc.) improvisation… sure sounds like a sweet penned number… how do they do that?
As per usual, the show is available to listen to via KUSP’s music show player until next Tuesday’s show gets loaded up.
